I have the pleasure of reaching out to donors from time to time, and no matter the size of a gift I often hear “I wish I could do more!”
As this New Year begins, there is one way to ‘do more’, that will have no impact on your current financials.
Some people think that they do not have the resources to make a ‘planned gift’, however most of us, even with modest means, hope to leave a little something behind.
A simple bequest can just be putting in a will or trust a specific amount of money to be given to Mission Doctors, or a % of remaining resources.
Making Mission Doctors the beneficiary of an IRA or even Life Insurance Policy that perhaps is no longer needed for its original intent because our children have grown. These last two can have significant tax benefits as well.
