MDA hears from Catholic doctors across the country who are interested in serving, answering their call to care for our sisters and brothers around the world.

Unfortunately, for so many faith-filled young Catholic doctors their ability to respond to the call of their faith comes with a stumbling block that seems too large for them to overcome. On average, students graduating from medical school in the United States graduate with about a quarter of a million dollars in student loan debt. 

Today, YOU can help remove this obstacle and put a doctor at the bedside of patients in Africa and Latin America with a donation to the James Carey Memorial Fund.

  The James Carey Memorial Fund, named for one of MDA’s early Mission Doctors, has been created to assist young doctors burdened with overwhelming student loans – to make those payments while they serve long-term.
