Mission Doctors Association

Pentecost is the great feast of mission—the day the Holy Spirit descended upon the apostles and transformed their fear into boldness, their silence into proclamation. With tongues of fire and hearts ablaze, they stepped into the streets and began sharing the Good News with people from every nation.

This moment wasn’t just the birth of the Church—it was the commissioning of each of us as missionaries.

At Mission Doctors Association, we see Pentecost not as a one-time event, but as a living reality. The same Spirit that sent the apostles out into the world continues to call us today—to serve, to witness, to love. While not everyone is called to travel across continents or provide medical care in remote villages, every single one of us is called to be a missionary.

To be a missionary is to respond with compassion wherever we are. It means offering our gifts—whether they are in healing, teaching, giving, or simply showing up for someone in need—with a spirit of love and service. It means seeing each day as an opportunity to share God’s mercy and to build a more just and caring world.

As we celebrate Pentecost, let’s ask the Holy Spirit to stir our hearts—to renew our courage, deepen our compassion, and remind us that wherever we are, we are sent.

Thank you for being part of this mission. With your support, prayers, and acts of kindness, you, too, are answering the call.

Come, Holy Spirit.

Send us into the world,

bearing your love.
