The Heart of Mission: Our Annual Gala is a Lifeline for Mission Doctors

The Heart for the World Gala isn’t just an event; it’s the beating heart of our mission. 

This is our largest fundraising event of the year, and it provides a critical portion of the funding necessary to continue our work. The support generated from this one evening allows us to recruit, train, send, and support Catholic Doctors, Dentists, Physician Assistants, and Nurse Practitioners who feel called to serve.

1. Recruitment and Training – Finding professionals with both the medical expertise and a calling to serve in challenging conditions takes effort. Your support helps us identify and train these exceptional individuals who are ready to make a difference.
2. Insurance and Emergency Preparedness – Working in rural and underserved areas can come with unique risks. Part of our responsibility is to ensure that each Mission Doctor has health insurance, emergency medical coverage, and evacuation insurance to provide peace of mind while they work tirelessly to serve others.
3. Sustainable Support for Healthcare Missions – Mission Doctors Association partners with mission diocese, hospitals and clinics, empowering them to provide reliable, long-term care in their communities. By helping us support these clinics, your contribution fuels sustainable health solutions.

The work of Mission Doctors Association spans continents and reaches remote areas where health care is scarce. Our medical professionals can:

• Treat thousands of patients who would otherwise have little to no access to medical care.
• Provide prenatal care and maternity services that help ensure safe births for mothers and infants.
• Offer preventive care and treat chronic conditions, which significantly improve quality of life and life expectancy.
• Train local healthcare professionals, so that the benefits of our work continue long after our doctors leave.
