I recently returned from Cameroon, West Africa, visiting out Mission Doctors and our partners in mission. 

I traveled all over the Northeastern area of the country and visited Padre Pio Maternity Hospital in Douala, St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Shisong and St. Martin de Porres Hospital in Njinikom. 

After days of travel, miles and miles of roads and countless stories, one stands out in my mind, Grace and Grace’s baby. 

Grace went into premature labor and delivered her daughter too early. This might have been how their story ended. Working with our partners at St. Martin de Porres, Mission Doctor Martha Franz and  Lisa Gilbert saved Grace’s baby. 

Here Grace is happy, finally able to breastfeed her sweet little girl.
