Mission Doctors Association is filled with joy to announce that Br. John Kiesler, OFM will receive the Msgr. Anthony Brouwers Award at our Heart for the World Gala on Saturday, February 14, 2026, at the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels Center in Los Angeles.

 

The Msgr. Anthony Brouwers Award is the highest honor bestowed by Mission Doctors Association, recognizing a lifetime of faithful service to Christ’s healing mission.

 

Br. John Kiesler’s extraordinary ministry as a Franciscan friar has touched countless lives. His work has reflected deep compassion, humility, and unwavering commitment to serving others — values at the very heart of our mission.

 

In addition to his lifelong service as a Franciscan, Br. John has provided more than a decade of dedicated leadership on the Mission Doctors Association Board of Directors, and his inspirational teaching in our formation program has helped prepare Catholic doctors and their families for long-term mission service around the world. His wisdom, faith, and example have strengthened our organization and inspired generations of healthcare professionals to live their faith through healing.

 

The 2026 Heart for the World Gala will include dinner, a silent auction, and the presentation of this distinguished award — all in support of the lifesaving mission of Catholic healthcare professionals serving around the world.
