Mission Doctors Association

Each year on All Souls Day, November 2, we come together as a community to honor and remember our loved ones who have passed. The Church sets aside this day, and the whole month of November, to pray for the faithful departed. It is a tradition rooted in the belief that death does not break the bonds of love, and that our prayers can accompany those we miss.

We invite you, our friends, supporters, and veteran Mission Doctors, to submit the names of those dear to you. That might be a parent, a spouse, a child, a friend, a patient, a colleague, or a missionary who inspired you. Every name is welcome.

On All Souls Day, we will pray for each of them during a special Mass. Their names will then remain on the altar throughout the entire month of November, a visible sign that they are held in our prayers. Whether you can join us or not, this is a time to find comfort in our shared faith and to hold our loved ones close in our hearts.

Elise Frederick, MDA Executive Director, shared: “I’ve always especially loved the way those in Cameroon refer to those who have died as ‘Of Blessed Memory.’” We invite everyone to submit the name of someone who is “Of Blessed Memory.”

To submit a name: Please fill out the form below.

We are honored to join you in prayer and remembrance.

Submit a Name for All Souls Day

We will add their name to the basket at the altar for Mass on All Souls Day, and the names will remain on the altar at our Mission House throughout the month of November.

Thank you for being a part of our Mission Doctors family.

Together, we can find solace and strength in our faith as we remember and pray for those who have gone before us.
