Mission Doctors Auxiliary

“I’m not able to serve – but I want to help. What can I do?”

Mission Doctors Auxiliary

Join the Auxiliary! Mission Doctors is strong today in a large part due to the unwavering support of its Auxiliary. This Los Angeles-based volunteer group offers their time and gifts to share stories of hope from the mission field and make the work possible.

“I want to shout it from the rooftops,” says Margaret Liautaud. “Mission Doctors is doing important lifesaving work, work that matters, and I want everyone to know!”

Auxiliary members invite friends, neighbors, and colleagues to join in the work of MDA through local events, newsletters, and media announcements. Most importantly, members support all Mission Doctors with their prayers.

Each year the groups organize a few outreach opportunities: an elegant Gala Benefit, a Card Party, and a Garden Piano Concert.  The heartfelt message is spread most easily through personal relationships.

“As a mother, I know that there are other mothers who cannot get adequate healthcare for their children around the world,” said Auxiliary President, Bonnie Flaherty.  “Together, the Mission Doctors and Auxiliary all make a difference.”

Individuals and couples who have a passion for mission and want to help support the valuable work of mission doctors can fill out a membership card.

Please contact Laurie McElroy at (213) 368-1872, with questions on how you can join in the work.

If you are not in the Los Angeles area and would like to get involved, join or begin a Friends of Mission Doctors Group in your area!
